CryptoRootsMX is led by Yaide García, whose lineage descends from several Sephardic settler families of New Spain — among them the Garza, Treviño, Figueroa, Velasco, Ávila, Escobedo, Cadena, Maluenda, Carbajal, Pacho, Oñate, Saavedra, Bocanegra, Zúñiga, Flores, De la Torre, Estrada, Salazar, Alarcón, Caraisco, and Caballería families.
